California Healthy Kids Survey Questions for Fifth-Grade Students

Parents may go to school site and request to see questions for voluntary survey.

Monte Vista Superhero visit

Monte Vista Students were visited by Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin. They taught students the importance of kindness and being a hero to al who arel around them. Being kind is the most powerful superhero you can have inside you. We also celebrated students who teacher’s felt had Grit. Way to MVE

Monte Vista Kinder Camp

Monte Vista will host its annual Kinder Camp Monday July 23 through Thursday July 26, 8:30am to 12:30pm Monday to Wednesday and 8:30am to 11:30pm Thursday. Instruction will focus on routines and expectations for Kindergartners through the year.

Kinder Camp in full swing

Kinder camp began Monday. There has been a number of kinder ready students in attendance and learning new and exciting things. Kinder Camp will continue with our kinder teachers leading the way, Ms. Vela, Ms. Bennett, and Ms, Garcia. Regular School session will start Thursday, August 9.

Sixth grade girls team dominate the basketball tournament. They took top honors, sweeping the championship game 10 to 0

State Testing in Full Swing

Monte Vista students are working are preparing and refreshing for state testing. Campus wide, everyone is working hard.

Mario and Freinds Come to Monte Vista's Pep Rally

Mario, Bowser, Donkey Kong and a few others from Mario Kart, visited Monte Vista's pep rally. Students were encouraged to work through the productive struggle and find a way to succeed in the most difficult times. Students were presented with models of good and bad testing behavior, as well as tips for successful testing.

Monte Vista Holds Basketball Tournament

Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade were able to participate in a school sponsored basketball tournament hosted by student council. Various teams played in hopes of winning the ultimate prize, playing the teachers!

Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin come to Pep Rally

Superheros visited Monte Vista as part of the school pep rally to be a super hero against bullying. School wide effort is being made to encourage everyone to stand up to bullies and have an I can, I will attitude!
