Grizzly Pep Rally Monte Vista Staff held a pep rally Tuesday, January 9 as part of our effort to encourage student involvement, participation, and overall attitude in school. Teachers dressed like celebrities and had a dance off with students.
Santa Visits Monte Vista On Friday, December 1, 2017, Santa visited the students of Monte Vista. Families were invited to take pictures with Santa. Children asked Santa for special gifts and gave him letters.
Grizzly Cheerleaders in Christmas Parade Monte Vista was strongly represented in the annual Porterville Christmas Parade. Our Grizzly Cheerleaders danced and cheered their way down main street, bringing smiles and pep!
Haircuts for Picture Day Staff members at Salon Sassafyde volunteered their time on a Sunday afternoon to provide free haircuts for Monte Vista students.
Back to School Night Monte Vista held their annual Back to School Night, on August 30, 2017. Teachers and staff were present to greet parents, students, and family. Several text books were passed out to families. Grizzlies make our school great!
Grizzlies Show Spirit at the Vandalia Soccer Tournament Monte Vista was represented at the annual district soccer tournament. Both boys' and girls' teams played very hard and placed a respectable 3rd for the girls and 4th for the boys. Way to go Grizzlies! Our Monte Vista Cheer Squad was present with lots of pep!
Monte Vista is represented at Visaila Poetry and Prose! Monte Vista Students who recited poetry or prose in front of the school were chosen to represent Grizzly pride at the Visaila Poetry and Prose. The event was held in Visalia March 16, 2017
Monte Vista Turkey Trot Monte Vista held their annual Turkey Trot. Students raced against grade level peers in the hope of winning a turkey, pie, or bag of potatoes to take home for Thanksgiving. PTO provided the turkeys for the event and the staff pitched in with the rest.
